Our specialty

Lead service line replacement, done to a standard

Under EPA's Lead and Copper Rule Improvements, water systems have to identify and replace their lead service lines — inventories are already due and replacement runs through 2037. It is going to be the largest residential utility program most Minnesota cities ever run, and it happens one front yard at a time. That is the work we are built for.

01

Inventory & material verification

Potholing and curb-box verification on both the public and private side, so your inventory reflects what is actually in the ground — not what the card file says. Findings documented per address with photos.

02

Full replacement, main to meter

New corporation stop, new curb stop and box, new copper or HDPE service, re-tied at the meter and pressure-checked before we leave the site. We plan the work as a complete replacement rather than a partial.

03

Trenchless where it counts

Directional boring keeps driveways, mature trees and finished landscaping intact — we have bored 1" services over 500 feet to reach homes in winter conditions. Less restoration means lower cost and far fewer complaints.

04

The homeowner side of the job

Scheduling, notice on the door, a real water-shutoff window, flushing guidance afterward, and the yard restored. Most services go back in service the same day. Your residents are our reputation too.

Full underground scope

Everything under the street

Lead lines are the specialty; underground utility is the trade. When a service replacement turns into a main break, a bad tie-in or a failed storm structure, the same crew handles it — no second mobilization, no finger-pointing.

How we run a job

Three words we actually hold each other to

Every contractor says they are safe and reliable. These are the three we hire, train and correct against — and they are the reason cities and general contractors call us back.

Safety

Trench boxes in the hole, not on the trailer. Locates verified before the bucket moves. Everybody goes home the same shape they showed up in — that is the non-negotiable, and it is why our crews stay.

Accountability

You get a straight answer on schedule, on scope and on what we found in the ground. If we are the reason something went sideways, you will hear it from us first — with the fix already underway.

Humility

We work for engineers, inspectors, city staff and homeowners who all know something we do not. We take the input, respect each other's strengths, and keep the customer at the center of the job.

About Levanen

Built from the ground up

Levanen Underground started the way most good contractors do — with people who learned the trade before they learned the paperwork. Years in the field first, where safety, teamwork and discipline were not policies on a wall.

The company was founded in 2017 with a simple mission: build lasting relationships, deliver quality work, and create a company people are proud to both work for and hire. That mission still decides who we hire, how we train, and how we run a job.

We are not just digging trenches — we are building a legacy of trust, integrity and humility.
